A Promise to Serve, A Pledge to Grow
Since the foundation of 97 Connexion Métropole in 2017, our journey has been guided not only by a desire to act but by a deep and enduring commitment to those we serve. Our work is not an occasional effort or a seasonal push — it is a long-term promise. A promise to uplift communities, empower individuals, and cultivate opportunities through meaningful, inclusive, and accessible sports and recreational activities.
Our commitment is both simple and ambitious: to stand by the people of our region and to offer them real and lasting value through every project we undertake. It is the force that pushes us to do more, reach further, and continually improve the way we serve.
Commitment to Inclusion
One of the pillars of our work is inclusion. We commit to creating a space where everyone, regardless of their age, background, physical ability, or financial means, is welcome and able to participate. We believe that sport and play are universal languages — and it is our responsibility to ensure no one is left out of the conversation.
We take specific actions to uphold this commitment:
- Designing events that are physically and financially accessible
- Adapting activities to be inclusive of children and adults with disabilities
- Working in partnership with organizations that serve marginalized populations
- Ensuring our staff and volunteers receive diversity and sensitivity training
Our commitment to inclusion is not an abstract principle. It is something we actively integrate into every decision, every invitation, and every event.
Commitment to Youth
We are deeply committed to supporting the development of children and adolescents — not just as participants in our events, but as individuals with enormous potential. Our activities are designed to offer them:
- Physical outlets for energy and creativity
- Safe environments for personal growth
- Role models and mentorship
- Opportunities to build responsibility, leadership, and self-confidence
We see each young participant not only as someone we serve but as a future leader, a contributor to society, and a potential builder of the next generation of community initiatives. Our commitment to youth means always being present — with consistency, reliability, and care.
Commitment to Community
Our association was born from the desire to strengthen community ties. This remains at the heart of everything we do. We do not simply host events; we create opportunities for neighbors to meet, for families to bond, and for individuals to feel a sense of belonging.
We are committed to:
- Listening to the evolving needs of our community
- Building local partnerships with municipalities, schools, and associations
- Encouraging intergenerational exchanges and mutual support
- Celebrating the cultural richness and diversity of our neighborhoods
This commitment is reflected in how we plan, how we engage, and how we continue to show up — day after day, year after year.
Commitment to Excellence
As an organization that works directly with people, particularly youth, we hold ourselves to high standards of professionalism, safety, and impact. We are committed to constantly improving the quality of our programs through:
- Ongoing training of staff and volunteers
- Structured feedback systems after each event
- Transparent and ethical financial practices
- Evaluations of each project’s real-world impact
Our goal is not only to provide more activities but to provide better experiences — ones that make a lasting impression on the people we serve.
Commitment to Long-Term Impact
We do not view our work as temporary or episodic. Our commitment is to build a lasting legacy — not just of successful events, but of changed lives, transformed neighborhoods, and a stronger, more cohesive society. Our long-term vision includes:
- Establishing permanent youth development programs
- Creating a network of community ambassadors and volunteers
- Developing educational tools to reinforce life skills through sport
- Advocating for the right to play, to move, and to connect — for all
We understand that the true impact of our work often becomes visible months or even years later. That is why we are committed to staying the course and building patiently, with purpose.
Commitment to Responsibility
As a recognized and trusted association, we have a responsibility not just to our participants, but to society at large. We uphold this responsibility by:
- Respecting ethical standards in all relationships and operations
- Committing to sustainability by reducing waste and encouraging environmental responsibility in our events
- Encouraging active citizenship and civic engagement among young people
- Remaining accountable through regular internal reviews and open communication
Responsibility is not a burden to us. It is the foundation of trust between us and our community.
Our Commitment Is Ongoing
Commitment is not a destination. It is a path. Each day, each event, each encounter is an opportunity to renew our promise to the people we serve. The trust and enthusiasm of our participants fuel us to move forward with ever greater determination.
At 97 Connexion Métropole, our commitment is not written only in words, but in our actions, in our presence, and in the relationships we build. We stand firmly by our mission — and even more firmly by the people who give that mission meaning.
